our story

A house full of curiously wonderful things.

Brenda in her boutique — curator of curiously wonderful treasures

Our Journey

Brenda has been gathering beautiful things her whole life. Old leather satchels from french markets, hand-poured pottery, jewellery with a soul, soft linens washed a hundred times.

One day there were simply too many treasures to keep, so she opened the front room. Then the kitchen. Then the garden. Now her whole home is the shop — and the shop is still her home.

We don't do fast. We don't do trends. We do the things you'll keep for years, mended and loved and passed on. Come in, take your shoes off, stay a while.

A Few Faces & Places

Ms. America, the beloved shop cat, resting on vintage linens

Ms. America (in memoriam)

She ruled the shop for 26 years — born here, grew old here, passed in '26. Ms. America was never far from Josie's side. Her spirit lingers in every sunbeam and every stack of soft linen.

Josie the shop dog — faithful companion and welcome committee

Josie, the shop dog

Chief of welcome committees and keeper of warm laps. She'll greet you at the gate, follow you through the rooms, and sigh happily at your feet.

Boston harbor at dawn

Tucked into a quiet corner of the city. The harbor wakes up gold, and so does the shop — open by appointment, or whenever the gate's unlatched.
